Camlock Coupling Installation Procedure

The first step is to open the coupler. Simply pull back the locking level over the cam handles and turn the handles off the body of the coupler at the same time.

Next, insert the adapter plug into the coupler. To do this, extend the cam arms and slip the adapter in until it contacts the gasket.

Now close the coupler by rotating it toward the coupler’s body. Then use normal hand pressure to press the handle down simultaneously. The coupling closes when you close the cam lock handles.

Q: Why should you tape the ears of camlock fittings?

A: Sealing Gaskets: Ensure you have the correct size and material of gaskets to create a leak-proof seal between the Camlock connections.
